FAQ

Lenormand is a 36-card deck known for its clear symbols and no-nonsense approach to divination. It evolved from the Game of Hope (Das Spiel der Hoffnung) published in 1799 by Johann Kaspar Hechtel in Germany. The oldest known copy now lives in the British Museum.

The deck later took its name from Marie Anne Lenormand, a famous French fortune-teller whose clients included Napoleon Bonaparte, Empress Josephine, Maximilien Robespierre and Tsar Alexander although the deck itself predates her. Drawing inspiration from older European playing card traditions, Lenormand cards gained popularity throughout the 19th century and continue to be used today for straightforward, down-to-earth readings.

My readings are focused and pragmatic. My goal is to give you insight you can actually use. Not sugarcoated messages, false hope, fear-based predictions or emotional dependency.

During a reading, we’ll look at your situation as it is now: The people involved, the underlying dynamics and the likely direction things are heading if nothing changes. I focus on the facts of a situation, the patterns, intentions and emotions driving it rather than fixed outcomes.

Lenormand works best with specific questions. So it's helpful to have clear questions or topics in mind to get the most accurate and relevant reading.

You may ask any question that follows my Store Policy & House Rules. Strictly no legal/medical/pregnancy questions. Ask only about yourself, someone you truly know, or a situation you are directly connected to. Or let me know your key concerns and I'll take it from there. I often refine client questions to ensure the reading is as constructive as possible. However, never ask a question if you are not prepared to hear the answer. I cannot control what the cards reveal. Always pause and ask yourself: Am I ready to know?

A reading may sometimes bring up messages that feel sad or uncomfortable, but they are meant to offer insight, not doom. Predictions are not set in stone. Negative cards can point to where you need to shift direction, act as a warning or show what changes are needed. You are always free to take what resonates and leave the rest.

Not at all. It simply means we don't approach spiritual matters from a place of fear or hysteria. For me, spirituality and common sense can absolutely coexist. Whatever exists on the other side, I believe it is beyond those earthly labels and institutions.

Tarot often delves into spiritual reflections, archetypes and metaphorical themes. Lenormand is more straightforward and focused on everyday situations, offering direct answers and guidance. Neither is better than the other. They simply communicate in different ways, each requiring its own unique skill set from the reader.

I currently offer only Lenormand readings.

My other interests include lunar energy work, Tarot de Marseille, Oracle Belline, Petit Etteilla and playing-card divination, along with esoteric traditions such as Chinese oracle bone script, metaphysics, Theravada meditation and 19th-century French occultism. These are simply areas I enjoy exploring in my own time with my circle of fellow intuitives. I don't bring these topics into readings or present them as part of my services.

Yes, gift sessions are available. You can purchase a Lenormand reading as a unique present for friends or family members. The recipient can email me their details and questions to redeem the gift.
